Helping Homes Conserve (HHC) and Enbridge Gas Taps Plus
Between 2005 and 2012, the HHC and TAPs program provided low-income customers in Ontario with energy efficient upgrades to their home. Products included programmable thermostats, energy efficient showerheads, kitchen aerators, bathroom aerators and pipe insulation. Ecofitt employed over 50 technicians annually (included certified HVAC technicians) across Ontario. Between 25,000 — 50,000 installations were completed per year. Over the duration of this program, Ecofitt upgraded approximately 150,000 homes including almost 40,000 programmable thermostat installations.
